I once ran low might, high con, int, per and res wizard with hatchet and shield. Low dex can be easily offset by mastering DAoM Melee wizards works on summoning spirit lance so split for stats is pretty much the same as lance is long weapon. Melee wizards are awesome but they are quite rest intensive as each fight you will burn quite a few spells until you get spell masteries. A lot of might, a lot of int, dump res, high per Easiest way to build a wizard is range autoattacker Basically you summon weapon and then just spam attack with aoe from blights triggering blasts. Your role can range from offtank to backline contoller. If you do have further questions though, feel free.Wizard is very flexible class that can do a lot of thing. I'll leave it there as I don't want to spoil the fun of learning about and reading the spells and such yourself but it's enough to get you started. The rest you will easily gain from Grimoires you find in the world. I like to also take Fan of Flames and Spirit Shield. It is the best level 1 spell alongside Slicken as they both provide strong CC and the former provides very good damage for a level 1 spell when coupled with Essence of Rime. Then I like to take the extra 3rd and 4th level spell cast as they are very useful levels otherwise, it's up to you, take what you fancy.įor first level spells, make sure to take Chilling Fog. On my wizard personally I like to take Scion of Flame and Essence of Rime as they both boost Fire and Cold damage respectively. Talents: You'll want to take Blast and Penetrating Blast but then other than that you're sorta free to do whatever you want. The extra Might for damage, Intelligence for spell Duration, Precision for Accuracy and Dexterity for action speed however will help as the CC and Damage a Wizard can provide is excellent. You do this because if a Wizard is ever engaged in melee, you're pretty much dead anyway, the extra Resolve and Constitution won't save you. Stats: If you're a min maxer, you'll dump Resolve and Constitution down to minimum, max Might, Int and Perception and the rest into Dexterity. Again, it doesn't really matter which one, they're all pretty decent and it's the extra 1 int you want so pick whichever one you like the look of. Race: Doesn't really matter, you can pick this based on how you want to look but min max, you would pick a Godlike. Wizard builds are fairly simple, I'll give you the standard ranged Wizard build but bear in mind you can play Melee Wizard if that's your fancy but it's a different build.
